Located in the Southern Caribbean Sea, Aruba has a warm climate and enjoys one of the highest standards of living in Caribbean Region. Aruba’s first settlers (Caquetios Amerinds) dated back from 1000 AD; the origins of population on the island give it a mixed culture. Tourism is Aruba’s specialty, with its world-renown White Sand Beaches, museums, and National Parks. The island also includes many beautiful plants/flowers and exotic animals. Here are some activities that are fun for the whole family in Aruba:

Arikok National Park

Located in Santa Cruz, Aruba, the Arikok National Park encompasses the Aruba lava formation, a quartz diorite formation, and limestone formation that play important roles in the early villages as well as the exotic plants and animals that live there. There are also historic settlements that still remain as well as mines and plantations.

Archaeological Museum

Spend an hour at the Archaeological Museum in Oranjestad and you will learn so much about Aruba’s culture and history! The museum also hosts many lectures, exhibits, educational projects, and workshops. This experience is free; it is educational and fun for the kids, and fascinating to adults.

Activities In Aruba

Aruba differs from many other places, creating a unique combination of land and water activities. Quiet horseback rides and walks along the beach are good for the soul. For more adventurous visitors, you can go hiking in the Arikok National Park, or go sailing. For underwater activities, there is snorkeling and wreck diving (Aruba has a reputation for having the best and most wreck sites, such as the Antilla, a German freighter).

I hope that your visit to Aruba will be both meaningful and exciting! Good Luck!
